Adobe InDesign is a desktop publishing and typesetting software. Students can access Adobe InDesign through the first two rows of computers in RL 264, Language Lab in the Robertson Library.

Audacity

Audacity is a free audio editing and recording tool.

Canva

Canva is a free online graphic design program, great for creating posters, logos, and other graphic design projects.

GIMP

GIMP is a free image manipulation program. It is the most popular free alternative to Photoshop.

Grammarly

Through the Robertson Library, UPEI students staff and faculty can access the full version of spelling and writing assistant Grammarly for free by signing up with their UPEI email.

Knightlab

Knightlab develops prototypes, projects and services that help make information meaningful and promote quality journalism, storytelling and content on the internet. This is a great resource for multimedia projects!

OpenShot

OpenShot is a free, intuitive, video editing program. Students with very little or no past video editing skills should be able to learn the program very quickly.

Reaper

Reaper is a free digital audio workstation. For students looking to do more advanced audio or musical projects, Reaper is extremely in-depth and can be used entirely for free.

Scribus

Scribus is a free, open-source desktop publishing tool. This program has been used in past digital literacy classes and could be used in students multimedia projects.

Zotero

Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research.
