\nMatthew has a bachelor degree in chemistry. He is developing process for isolation of nano-crystalline cellulose (NCC) from tunicates. He is also investigating the application of NCC in nanocomposite and superabsorbant material.<\/p>\n

Mohammad Heidari (PhD Candidate)<\/strong>\"\"
\nMohammad has a master’s degree in engineering and currently investigating the hydrothermal carbonization of biomass. His research focuses on understanding the kinetics of hydrothermal reaction and development of continuous hydrothermal system.<\/p>\n

Shakirudeen Salaudeen (PhD Candidate)<\/strong>\"\"
\nShakirudeen has a background of mechanical engineering. His research focuses on converting biomass to liquid fuel using chemical looping process. He uses egg shell as sorbent in his process for capturing carbon dioxide while producing syngas of right H2\/CO ratio for liquid fuel.<\/p>\n

Raj Kumar Dahal (MSc Student)<\/strong>\"\"
\nRaj has a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and has worked for more than 5 years in hydropower sector in Nepal. His research at UPEI focuses on the use of biochar for energy and material application.<\/p>\n

Ankita Shrestha (MSc Student)<\/strong>\"\"
\nAnkita has a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Nepal. She is developing hydrothermal treatment process for turning sea lettuce into biocarbon, biogas and recovery of nutrient for soil application. Her research will develop a semi-continuous system for conducting the hydrothermal treatment.<\/p>\n

\nNeel has a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from India. He is studying the hydrothermal treatment process kelp.<\/p>\n

\nDhananjay is investigating the hydrothermal treatment of biosolids for the production of hydrochar for soil application.<\/p>\n

Jesse Cameron (Undergraduate Student)<\/strong>\"\"
\nJesse has a bachelor degree in sustainable design engineering. Jesse has been working for the design and development of bioconversion system. He has built hydrothermal system, system for pyrolysis and gasification of biomass. He also studied the catalytic pyrolysis of biomass in collaboration with Periyar University in India.<\/p>\n
