Project Guiding Principles

  • Processes will CHANGE. Commitment to implementation of software through configuration changes not software modification
  • UPEI will develop, implement, and manage to COMMON STANDARDIZED¬†organization and student processes
  • DECISION DUE DATES will be established to keep project on time and on budget and be the responsibility of the Executive Steering Committee to ensure that the project stays on track
  • Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors, Managers, and Project Participants, are RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE for making this project a high priority and committing to PROJECT DEADLINES
  • A collaborative TEAM approach will be used
  • Data and information will be treated as secure, strategic assets that are: COMMONLY DEFINED; electronically CAPTURED at source; and appropriately SHARED across the entire institution
  • UPEI will strive to make INFORMATION BASED DECISIONS through the use of management reporting processes and technologies
  • MAXIMIZE self service capabilities
  • Current system (UIS) will be maintained however all software development and changes will HALT and ANY add, change, delete of any technology on campus during the duration of the project must be authorized by the CIO
