She is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island where she studied English and history and is now in the Master of Arts in Island Studies program. Megan Lane has won multiple awards for her writing including the MacLauchlan Effective Writing Award. Her poems, \u201cBreakwater\u201d and \u201cPassenger\u201d, have been published in the <em>UPEI Arts Review Volume IX<\/em>.
