This came about through a partnership between the library, the Sidewalk Astronomers of Char<a href=\"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/astronomy\/files\/2016\/03\/Library-Telescope.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-498 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/astronomy\/files\/2016\/03\/Library-Telescope-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Library Telescope\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/astronomy\/files\/2016\/03\/Library-Telescope-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/astronomy\/files\/2016\/03\/Library-Telescope.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>lottetown, and UPEI Physics.<\/p>\n<p>The telescope is a Sky Watcher 6&#8243; Dobsonian and is easy to use so even beginner astronomers can be up and going in a short time.<\/p>\n<p>Information about reserving the telescope can be found on the <a href=\"http:\/\/24.224.240.218\/uhtbin\/cgisirsi.exe\/x\/0\/0\/57\/5\/3?searchdata1=338099{CKEY}&amp;searchfield1=GENERAL^SUBJECT^GENERAL^^&amp;user_id=WEBSERVER\">Library&#8217;s website<\/a>. UPEI Physics helped put together a <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0Bw1f_qNVO8UEZlpHZGo1MzlOakk\/view?usp=sharing\">user guide<\/a> (which is provided when the telescope is borrowed from the Library) and also an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tL7aBNTf0Pc\">introductory video<\/a> on using the telescope.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that the Confederation Centre Public Library now has a telescope that can be borrowed by library patrons.
