FR-1020 French Language and Culture II (3 Credits) – Cross-listed with Beginner II for Professional Development

This course is a continuation of French 1010. Three hours a week plus lab. NOTE: Students may not reverse the sequence of any courses taken from French 1010 to French 2420, with the exception of French 2090. Requisites: French 1020 Language Lab Section – Must be taken at the same time as this course.

FR-2220 Langue et Lectures II (3 Credits)

FR-2420 French Composition, Analysis II (3 Credits)

This course is a continuation of French 2410. Three hours a week plus conversation class. FR-3120 Communication En Français II (3 Credits) – Cross-listed with Advanced for Professional Development

This upper-level course focuses on the development of oral and writing skills in French communication in various professional contexts such as education, health, business, university, etc. Three hours a week plus conversation class Requisites: French 3120 Conversation Class – Must be taken at the same time as this course.

FR-3340 18ê Siècle: l’âge des lumières II (3 Credits)
TTH 14:30-15:45
As a continuation of 3330, this course focuses on the literary productions of the second half of the century, with emphasis on the critical and philosophical aspects of the works selected, as well as on the development of a pre-romantic sensibility towards the end of that period. Three hours a week plus conversation class Requisites: French 3340 Conversation Class – Must be taken at the same time as this course.

FR-4210 Le Roman Contemporain I (3 Credits)
MW 13:30-14:45
This course examines the French novel by exploring the various literary and philosophical movements of the contemporary era (existentialism, the new novel, and beyond). These trends are illustrated through readings of representative authors. Three hours a week plus conversation class Requisites: French 4210 Conversation Class – Must be taken at the same time as this course.
