With the help of two international KS Seed projects (funded by KSPS [Korean Studies Promotions Service], the AKS, Korea) since Jan. 2018, UPEI’s Asian Studies program continuously offered and taught a large number of KS courses with quickly-growing student interest and course popularity, thereby strengthening and enriching our Asian Studies curriculum and program delivery in the Faculty of Arts.


In spring 2021, a new undergraduate Minor in Korean Studies was officially approved by the UPEI Senate with the following list of 11 new courses in KS:
- 1012 Introduction to Korean I ( c-listed with Modern Languages 1012)
- 1022 Korean II (c-listed with ML 1022)
- 2101 Korean Civilization (2nd-year lecture)
- 2201 Korean Culture and Society (2nd-year lecture)
- 2301 Introduction to Korean Religions (2nd-year lecture, c-listed as Religious Studies 2301)
- 2401 Digital Media and Pop-culture in South Korea (2nd-year lecture)
- 2090 Special Topic (on Korea)
- 3101 Modern Korean History (3rd-year lecture & seminar)
- 3201 Korean Arts: Traditional and Modern (3rd-year lecture and seminar
- 3301 Korean Cinema and Drama (3rd-year lecture and seminar).
