{"id":767,"date":"2014-10-03T14:01:06","date_gmt":"2014-10-03T14:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/climate\/?p=767"},"modified":"2017-02-15T18:54:38","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T18:54:38","slug":"767","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/climate\/2014\/10\/03\/767\/","title":{"rendered":"CLIVE WINS!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/climate\/files\/2014\/10\/clive.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-768 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/climate\/files\/2014\/10\/clive-300x166.jpg\" alt=\"clive\" width=\"300\" height=\"166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/climate\/files\/2014\/10\/clive-300x166.jpg 300w, https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/climate\/files\/2014\/10\/clive.jpg 449w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>CLIVE, the coastal erosion visualization tool created by UPEI\u2019s Climate Research Lab and the Spatial Interface Lab at Simon Fraser University, has taken first place in the Massachusetts Institute for Technology\u2019s (MIT) Center for Collective Intelligence contest on Communicating Coastal Risk and Resilience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Nearly 600 projects were submitted to MIT\u2019s Climate CoLab for this year\u2019s competition. CLIVE made it through several rounds of competition and broke through to the finals against two other projects. Through the support and votes from the UPEI community, CLIVE won the Popular Choice, as determined by online voting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to say what a wonderful feeling it is that the UPEI community and campus were so supportive through the competition,\u201d said Dr. Adam Fenech, Director of the UPEI Climate Lab. \u201cTo win because of the support of a community, that\u2019s a nice feeling.
