Current priorities focus on two areas where AVC is well positioned to make a meaningful contribution to the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strengthening Clinical Communication<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Great veterinary care depends not only on clinical expertise, but also on the ability to communicate with empathy and confidence. Through the Chair, AVC will bring Texas A&amp;M University&#8217;s Veterinary Healthcare Communication program to Charlottetown, allowing more faculty members to receive advanced training and share those skills with students. The result will be benefits that extend well beyond the classroom, helping future veterinarians build stronger relationships with clients throughout their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expanding Transesophageal Echocardiography Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is an advanced technique that helps veterinarians assess the heart during complex procedures. Drawing on AVC&#8217;s expertise in this area, the Chair will support the development of a hands-on training workshop for veterinary cardiologists.
