{"id":667,"date":"2024-09-24T16:17:53","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T19:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/engsuccess\/?p=667"},"modified":"2024-09-24T16:18:03","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T19:18:03","slug":"how-to-connect-to-the-itss-printer-in-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/engsuccess\/2024\/09\/24\/how-to-connect-to-the-itss-printer-in-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Connect to the ITSS Printer at the Success Centre in Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Step 1: Access the Printer Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Click on the &#8220;Start&#8221; button or press the Windows key on your keyboard.<\/li><li>In the Windows Start menu, click on &#8220;Settings&#8221; (the gear-shaped icon).<\/li><li>In the Windows Settings window, select &#8220;Devices.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Add a Printer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Within the Devices settings, select &#8220;Printers &amp; scanners&#8221; from the left sidebar.<\/li><li>If you&#8217;ve previously added printers, you&#8217;ll see a list here. Click &#8220;Refresh&#8221; to update the list.<\/li><li>To manually add a printer, click &#8220;Add a printer or scanner.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3: Add a Network Printer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>In the &#8220;Add a device&#8221; window, choose the option that says, &#8220;The printer that I want isn&#8217;t listed.&#8221;<\/li><li>Next, select &#8220;Add a printer using a TCP\/IP address or hostname.&#8221;<\/li><li>In the Device type dropdown, choose &#8220;Auto detect.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4: Enter the IP Address<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Now, it&#8217;s time to provide the IP address for your printer. You&#8217;ll need to obtain this from your printer&#8217;s settings or your network administrator.<\/li><li>Enter the IP address; 137.149.156.43 in the &#8220;Hostname or IP address&#8221; field.<\/li><li>Once entered, click &#8220;Next.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5: Wait for Detection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Windows will now attempt to detect your printer. This process may take a moment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6: Choose the Printer Name<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>After successful detection, you&#8217;ll be presented with a list of detected printers. Find the ITSS printer in the list.<\/li><li>Choose the printer. It should have a name like &#8220;HP-DH202-ljet1 (HP LaserJet 600 M601).&#8221;<\/li><li>Click &#8220;Next.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 7: Complete the Setup<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printer setup. This usually involves selecting the driver for your printer.<\/li><li>Once you&#8217;ve completed these steps, click &#8220;Next.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 8: Finish<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Your printer is now installed. Click &#8220;Finish&#8221; to complete the setup process.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s it!
