Dr. Yoshi Takano<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Takano<\/strong> is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Psychology program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island.  Dr. Takano is a registered psychologist in PEI and Alberta. He has an expertise in forensic psychology in various intervention approaches and assessments.  Dr. Takano has been facilitating court mandated domestic violence intervention programs in B.C. and Alberta for many years.   <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lauren LaFrance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lauren LaFrance<\/strong> is a Psychology honours student working with Dr. Takano at UPEI. She is researching the effectiveness of Dr. Takano\u2019s CCRA intervention program for her honours research. Additionally, she is helping Dr. Takano with his other research projects, both of which include looking into the effectiveness of certain interventions for men who are violent towards their families.  Along with these research projects, Lauren is also the Forensic Psychology Research and Clinical Lab coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lethabo Mogodi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lethabo Mogodi <\/strong>is a Psychology honours student working under Dr. Takano at UPEI, on his Effectiveness study on Co-constructing Responsibility Approach: Intervention approach for men who are violent and abusive toward their partners and children. Her honours thesis covers the effectiveness of the CCRA approach and internalized culture. She is also majoring in Diversity and Social Justice. Lethabo is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kaitlyn Graves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kaitlyn Graves<\/strong> is a Psychology honours student working under the supervision of Dr. Takano at UPEI. She is working on his Effectiveness study on Co-constructing Responsibility Approach for men who have been violent towards their partners or children. Her honours thesis focuses on the effectiveness of CCRA as well as relapse prevention for domestic violence offenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma Cowans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emma Cowans <\/strong>is a second-year Psychology student working as a research assistant with Dr. Takano and a group of his current honours students. She is helping with a thesis that covers the effectiveness of Dr. Takano\u2019s Co-constructing Responsibility Approach intervention for domestically violent men.\u00a0 Emma is also a Mental Health and Addictions Volunteer at Hillsborough Hospital; she has a passion for Psychology and looks forward to continuing her studies within the field.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
