She hopes to integrate aspects of these areas into her Honour&#8217;s thesis.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fairouz is originally from Cairo, Egypt, and she immigrated to PEI in 2011.&nbsp;&nbsp;At UPEI, Fairouz is part of the Cross-Country team; a tutor with the Writing Centre; a volunteer editor with the&nbsp;<em>UPEI Arts Review<\/em>; and has previously worked as a managing editor with&nbsp;<em>The Cadre<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Recently she has taken over&nbsp;<em>Perfect Strangers PEI&nbsp;<\/em>which is a community arts-based project that focuses on sharing people\u2019s stories. Fairouz also dedicates her time to create art, which includes anything from oil paintings to digital animations.
