I am currently an undergraduate student in philosophy and I am interested in conducting research in intercultural psychology with theoretical and methodological contributions from philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am interested in psychotherapy, community psychology and scientific research that seeks to positively impact social reality. I have worked in intercultural psychology research projects on topics such as: cultural differences in the concept of family and self-concept in children; differences in parenting among different cultural groups in Costa Rica; changes in subjectivity, identity and coping strategies in people in a migratory and intercultural context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was selected by the Government of Canada for the scholarship, <em>Emerging Leaders of the Americas<\/em> (ELAP) and will complete my residency at The ICI in the Winter of 2022. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Born and raised in Costa Rica, I completed an undergraduate psychologist&#8217;s degree and M.S. in Brief Strategic Therapy.
