{"id":237,"date":"2023-04-11T13:56:11","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T16:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/lnop\/?page_id=237"},"modified":"2025-03-28T09:11:39","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T12:11:39","slug":"job-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/projects.upei.ca\/lnop\/job-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upei.ca\/hr\/competition\/32s25\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.upei.ca\/hr\/competition\/32s25\">Camp Counselor (Up to 12 positions) &#8211; Undergraduate Student &#8211; Faculty of Education<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in training and program development sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and deliver project-based tasks that integrate numeracy and literacy activities in summer camps for children ages 4 to 12 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Successful candidate will be enrolled in a UPEI Bachelor of Education program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of play-based and arts-based pedagogies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience and or training with early years and early childhood education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge or early numeracy and early literacy development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience with summer camps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent organizational skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of inquiry and project-based learning is considered an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A valid driver\u2019s license and transportation are required to travel to different sites for the summer camps.
