L\u00e9v\u00eaque is a graduate student in the M.A. (Island Studies) program at the <a href=\"http:\/\/upei.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Prince Edward Island<\/a>, where he is exploring issues of governance, politics, and sustainability in small places, including rural regions and islands. He holds a B.A. in political science, a B.Ed., and a B.Sc. in geography, all from <a href=\"http:\/\/mun.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Memorial University of Newfoundland<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick is an active member of various organizations at the local, provincial, and national level, including the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/wintertracadie.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Winter River-Tracadie Bay Watershed Association<\/a> (current board member), the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/crrf.ca\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation<\/a>, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/rplc-capr.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rural Policy Learning Commons<\/a>&#8216; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/rplc-capr.ca\/rural-governance-network\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rural Governance Network<\/a>, the Town of Stratford&#8217;s Accountability and Engagement Committee, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/islandstudies.com\">Institute of Island Studies<\/a> Executive Committee.
