An accomplished storyteller, John Cousins taught history at Westisle High School, and Island Folklore and Folksongs at UPEI for many years. Now retired from teaching, he recently completed a history of New London Bay, New London: The Lost Dream<\/em><\/a>, which was published by Island Studies Press in 2016. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, John Cousins was awarded the Folklore Studies Association of Canada’s prestigious Marius Barbeau Medal in recognition of remarkable individual contributions to folklore and ethnology through teaching, research, and communication. Click here for more details<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
