The Hostetter Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship aims to advance entrepreneurship education and research, especially in industries of relevance to PEI with a primary focus of helping students; faculty; staff and community members with developing their entrepreneurial skills, such as opportunity recognition and idea realization. The result of enrollment in this incubator is the development of advanced entrepreneurship understanding and skills that is reflected in a fully developed business plan. Within the centre, individuals or teams are exposed to external networks of supporters; mentors; coaches; experts; and alumni on the development/refinement of their business plan that is in keeping with Hostetter’s strong belief in the value of mentorship and community engagement.

Within the Hostetter Centre exists the Grant Thornton Entrepreneurial Playground, a collaborative space that encourages discussions; presentations; meetings and events with a special focus in Grant Thornton’s expertise of financial; tax; and advanced investment understanding.
