The UPEI Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) congratulates Lilly O’Rielly for winning the prestigious C.D. Howe Scholarship Endowment Fund National Engineering Scholarship. As one of only two recipients in Canada, Lilly will receive $7,500 annually. This scholarship, awarded to exceptional second-year engineering students, recognizes outstanding academic performance, community involvement, and extracurricular achievements.
Dr. Wayne Peters, FSDE interim dean, highlighted Lilly’s accomplishment: “The C.D. Howe Scholarship is highly prestigious, and we are proud Lilly has been selected. Her dedication and involvement in various engineering and community activities make her a deserving recipient.”
Lilly is involved in the Engineering Success Centre, Engineers Without Borders (UPEI), and various competitions and expressed her gratitude for the support she’s received from the UPEI community. The C.D. Howe Endowment Fund, established in 2013, continues to honor exceptional engineering students across Canada.
