Jasmine Kennedy of Mermaid PEI is investigating a novel species of Cyanobium as part of her honours research in the UPEI Biology department. Jasmine enjoys making art, listening to music, and spending time at PEI’s beaches amongst the marine microbes.

Isabella Parks is exploring how phytoplankton communities change over time as part of a new microbial time series for her Biology Honours research. Outside the lab, Bella likes chasing waterfalls, summiting mountains, and staying active.

Anna MacLeod is doing her Honours research on coastal heterotrophic microbial community dynamics. In her free time, she loves to bake, read, travel, and spending time in nature.

Shane Bernabe of Charlottetown PEI is currently a fourth year Biology major with a specialization in Life Sciences! Shane is conducting a meta-analysis on phages (viruses that attack bacteria) as part of a Senior Undergrad Project.
