1. School Spirit

Qualifications:

Awarded to a first-year student who has shown great school spirit and pride during the events of NSO.

Method of Selection:

Peer-voted via a Google form, and then by use of a random number generator a winner is chosen from the votes. Votes for one’s self are not counted.  The more votes a person has, the higher probability they would have of being the selected individual for this award.

2. Care for Others

Qualifications:

Awarded to a first-year student who has shown great care and concern for others during the events of NSO.

Method of Selection:

Peer-voted via a Google form, and then by use of a random number generator a winner is chosen from the votes. Votes for one’s self are not counted.  The more votes a person has, the higher probability they would have of being the selected individual for this award.

3. Leadership

Qualifications:

Awarded to a first-year student who has shown great qualities of leadership during the events of NSO.

Method of Selection:

Peer-voted via a Google form, and then by use of a random number generator a winner is chosen from the votes. Votes for one’s self are not counted.  The more votes a person has, the higher probability they would have of being the selected individual for this award.

Attendance

Qualifications:

Awarded to a first-year student who has shown exceptional event and activity attendance throughout New Student Orientation.

Method of Selection:

If there is one student who has the highest attendance overall they are the recipient of this award. In the event of a tie, Each individual student’s name is written on a ballot for a fair draw to select the winner

NOTE: Students are not eligible to win more than one course. In the event that a student is selected for two awards, one of said awards will be awarded to a second person who is drawn.  In the event of an inadequate number of votes the leadership team shall hold a vote to determine the award recipient.
