In 2024, AVC aims to be in the construction phase of the AVC Teaching Hospital expansion and renovation project, which will further elevate the standard of care and educational opportunities within the hospital with a focus on the following:
- Expand the urgent and emergency care space in the hospital.
- Create 24-hour access to food and veterinary product pickup.
- Increase the number of consultation rooms to address growing demand on services.
- Adjust access to the MRI unit to allow its use for human patients
- Develop an alternate entrance to the MRI unit to accommodate human patient usage.
- Establish a flexible teaching space for student-centred learning, including a simulation lab.
