Education:

  • MSc. Biology, California State University, Long Beach
  • BSc. Biological Sciences, University of California, Riverside

Research Interests:

  • Marine disease ecology
  • Network and connectivity analysis
  • Sea lice epidemiology

Danielle’s current work is based on a particle tracking simulation to understand pathogen transmission in salmon farms in the Broughton Archipelago. The focus is on sea lice, but the simulation can work for other disease particles as well. She is focused primarily on how diseases move between farms, and how disease interactions work between farmed and wild salmon.
