Faith and Knowledge

In October 2017, the Institute hosted its fifth annual Faith and Knowledge Lecture. In commemoration of the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation, Dr. Catherine E. Clifford, professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at St. Paul’s University, presented “Freed by Grace towards Communion: Joint Commemoration of the Reformation 2017.”

The fourth annual Faith and Knowledge Lecture held in October 2016 was presented by Dr. Moira McQueen. Dr. McQueen is an Affiliated Professor at the Faculty of Theology, St. Michael’s College as well as the Executive Director of the Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute and a recent appointment to the International Theological Commission, a Vatican advisory body. She spoke on, “What is Involved in ‘Assisted’ Dying? Ethical Issues for Patients and Health Care Workers in Light of Christian Teaching.”
